Privacy
Your privacy matters
PlanSight helps you compare Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) plans. You do not need an account, and PlanSight never asks for your name.
Before you enter anything: do not enter Social Security numbers, employee ID numbers, medical records, diagnoses, or anything else that identifies you or a family member. PlanSight does not need them to compare plans.

What you enter, and what happens to it
Every question is about coverage, not about you. Doctors and medications are optional: you can compare plans without them.
- Your coverage. ZIP code, whether you are an employee or retiree, enrollment type, and your current enrollment code if you give it. Used to find the plans you can join and their premiums.
- Doctors. Doctors you pick from the public national provider registry. Each doctor's public registry number and state are used to check plan networks.
- Medications. The drug, strength, how much and how often, the pharmacy type, and who it is for as a role such as "Spouse or partner", never a name. Used to look up each plan's coverage and estimate the cost.
- Your priorities. Your priority order and expected office visits are sent to put plans in that order, and are not kept.
- Notes and questions. The optional "Anything else?" note and questions you ask in Get help are sent to an AI service, to suggest priorities or find an answer. You confirm any change it suggests.
- Stays in your browser. Your household age counts, the facilities you list and Contact HR drafts are never sent. Closing the page, or choosing Start over, clears your answers.
What we don't keep
- Your name. PlanSight never asks for it, and there is no account or sign-in.
- Your contact details. No email address, phone number or home address is asked for.
- Identity numbers. No Social Security number, employee ID, member ID or date of birth is asked for. If one is typed into a note or question anyway, it is removed before any record is kept, and so are names.
- Family members' names. A medication is for a role, such as "Spouse or partner", never a person.
- Your network address. PlanSight does not store it; only our hosting provider's standard security logs see it.
- Your priority order, household and facilities. They are used for your results, then gone.
- Contact HR drafts. They stay in your browser and clear when you close help.
- Copies at the AI service. It is set to keep nothing it is sent.
Health information
Medications and doctors are health-related information. PlanSight asks for them only to compare plans, never asks about medical conditions or diagnoses, and never ties them to a name or an account. Please leave conditions and diagnoses out of the notes and questions you type.
Who else sees it
- No advertising or analytics trackers. PlanSight runs no advertising, analytics or social media scripts, and does not sell or share your information for marketing.
- AI service. Notes and questions are processed by a cloud AI service set to keep no copy of what it is sent. It does not decide plan facts, prices, eligibility or order.
- Hosting. The hosting provider runs the site, and a browser check that tells people from automated scripts.
How it is protected
- Your browser reaches PlanSight only over an encrypted connection.
- Access to plan data and to records is limited to what the service needs.
- Use of the service is limited to stop misuse and bulk copying of its data.
Your choices
- Leave out doctors, medications and notes: plans still compare.
- Choose Start over at any time to clear your answers from the page.
- Because no record names you or an account, we cannot find one person's records to show or delete them.
Who runs PlanSight
PlanSight is not an official government website, and it does not enroll you in a plan: you make your choice in your agency's enrollment system.
Questions
How PlanSight separates what you told it, what its rules calculated, and what remains unknown is set out in Under the Hood.
